Derbyshire Girls & Ladies League

Season 26-27 information

The DGLL will provide the following for season 2026-27.

This is for information only, all existing teams that did not resign by the deadline date are

automatically entered, and approved under FA Rules, and Clubs will be billed shortly.

All teams will be moved up 1 year group. If you wish, and your players are age eligible, to remain

at their current age group, please advise the league ASAP.

Where Youth teams are playing competitive football the allocation into divisions will be based on season 25-26 finishing positions, except where FA Rules preclude teams from the same club playing in the same division.

The DGLL website will shortly change, and Club Admins will be required to update team details and

sign the declaration prior to the AGM.

Be aware Club Admins will receive multiple automated reminders from the website if the declaration is not submitted.

It is now a requirement of Club entry to submit their club badge to james@helpwithit.co.uk

U7 will be offered next season subject to sufficient teams applying, however it may not be possible due to the logistics of 3v3 at the Hubs. Clubs should be aware that it may only be possible to offer 3v3 on a Sunday morning at Derby University where the DCFA are running sessions for that format.

The DGLL intends to provide Autumn & Winter Seasons for age groups up to and including u16

where numbers allow.

Youth teams at ages u13, u14, u15, u16 & u18 are required to source their own pitches, however,

should there be available capacity at the central venues the league will allocate pitches on a first

come first served basis.

u13,u14 u15, u16 & u18 teams wishing to play at The Racecourse Hub should register their

request as soon as possible using this link https://forms.office.com/r/nHymTeCh0x

There will be NO games on grass at the Racecourse unless the 3G is fully booked.

The League accepts scheduling requests from teams but cannot guarantee to be able logistically to satisfy the request. This particularly applies where Derby County FC are at home with either a 1230 or 1500 kick off.

All Teams MUST, as a condition of entry, expect a minimum of 5 games to be scheduled through the season where the games finishes at 3pm.

Successful entry to the age group(s) applied for is dependent on there being sufficient clubs

applying for membership. entry to the competition applied for is conditional on the club’s

mandatory participation in the league & challenge cup.

Please note that NO youth team travelling over 30 miles will be required to kick off before 1100.

Kick off times for late games must ensure that the game finishes by 3pm.

Teams should be aware that midweek games may be fixtured by the League in September, March,

April & May.

U8-U9 fixtures will be played at LEESBROOK ACADEMY 3G , kick offs will be 1120, 1215, & 1315. 1415 if necessary.

Please Note that 5v5 fixtures will be scheduled in reverse order i.e. 1315, 1215, 1120. If there

are insufficient 5v5 games to fill these slots, then 7v7 fixtures will take precedence at 1100

The DGLL will take a break after the games on 20th December for Christmas and return on

January 9th, having had December 26/27th, and January 2/3rd off.

U7-u13 will then run until March 20th and then break for Easter and return on 10th April having

had 27th March &  3rd April off.

U14-Ladies will have the weekend of March 28th off.

Ladies will also have no DGLL fixtures on Mother’s Day 7th March

u7-u11 Mini Soccer will finish for the season on April 24th, with Cup Finals being provisionally on May 3rd Bank Holiday Monday

U12-Ladies will continue until all season’s fixtures have been played. This may mean midweek fixtures in April & May

All teams may currently request a maximum of 2 fixture byes, over the season, giving 28

days’ notice to the league.

The bye ONLY covers the day of the game; a further bye request would

be required for a midweek fixture.

Failure to play on a fixture date incurs a Maximum £100 fine & MANDATORY 3-point deduction in

addition to the game being rescheduled.

There are NO forfeits of League games by teams. Postponed games are rescheduled.

Teams MUST NOT assume that not having a fixture scheduled (for any given date) means that a

game will not be scheduled, and are strongly advised to ensure that they check as early as

possible as to player availability and submit bye week requests.

The DGLL can add a fixture under FA Rules with a minimum of 5 (FIVE) days’ notice.

Clubs may make scheduling requests via our website throughout the season, but Clubs should be

aware that whilst every effort will be made to accommodate these requests it may not be possible

in all instances.

Youth Teams are advised that a condition of entry is that they are available to play fixtures

during the season between 0830 & 1500 at Central Venues and 0930 & 1500 for Home & Away fixtures. For fixtures at the Central Venues the DGLL sets the kick off times and for Home & Away fixtures at u13-u18,(unless the game is played at Derby Racecourse) the home team sets the kick off time with the start no earlier than 0930 and finish no later than 1500.

Open Age Teams have fixed kick off times of 1330 (Div1) and 1030 or 1330 (Div 2/3)

All Open Age Cup ties are 1330 kick offs

The league will provide referees for central venue games and allocate referees for Open Age

fixtures.

Teams at u13–u18 playing home and away are required to source their own pitches and registered

referees, except where the DGLL has agreed to provide a central venue pitch or league appointed

referee.

Player Registrations will be via FA Club Portal and teams will be required to use the FA Matchday app (or

Directly into Full Time) to input their team sheets , goal scorers etc. Help Docs will be available via a link

on the Full Time game notifications.

For Season 26-27, due to multiple instances where teams have failed to keep proper records, the paperless experiment is unfortunately over, and teams will be required to complete written match sheets for all fixtures. Match Report books will be supplied by the DGLL, and it will be a condition of entry for teams to arrange to collect the books from Derby Racecourse Hub .

Fixtures will be accessed from FULL TIME.
